Great news! Alex Jones’ shitty media empire could be dead soon!

The former Austin public access TV host may finally be suffering some consequences for his disgusting lies about the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting being fake, which led to grieving parents being harassed for years by Jones’ followers. (One desecrated a child’s grave, and another threatened to dig up the grave of a dead child.)

A Houston bankruptcy judge ruled Tuesday that Jones’ landfill of a media company — which at its best sold conspiracy theory-inspired supplements and at its worst did demonstrable damage to the victims of one of the worst tragedies in American history — can be liquidated to help pay the more than $1 billion he owes relatives of victims of the 2012 shooting, the New York Times reported. Turns out that “making stuff up” actually has consequences, and some laws still apply even if you’re a right-wing lunatic operating out of Texas!

The ruling clears the way for Jones’ Infowars, an Austin-based sewer of conspiracy theories and crappy products nobody has ever needed, to be put up for sale along with the rest of his assets, which will be sold at auctions this fall.

Stuff up on the block includes the Infowars website and social media accounts, the company’s broadcasting equipment, along with all its product trademarks, as well as the inventory owned by Free Speech Systems, Infowars’ parent company.

Again, this is only happening because for years, Jones spread lies about 20 dead first graders and six dead educators.

Everyone with a brain received this news as a horrible tragedy. But to Jones, it was fake, and a government plot to take away yer guns!! (The ultimate goal being to sell prepper supplies and vitamins to his audience, which made Jones $165 million over the years.) This would have been bad enough. His exploitative yapping had real consequences: Parents said they were harassed and threatened by Jones’ dumbass audience.

The “do your own research” crowd confronted grieving parents in person and told them that the shooting was a fake and that their dead kids never existed.

Really awesome stuff. The families then promptly exercised THEIR god-given right to sue Jones’ worthless ass.

In 2022, the families won nearly $1.5 billion in defamation and emotional distress lawsuits against Jones, who promptly filed for bankruptcy. Jones, who has about $9 million in personal assets, is appealing the verdicts and has since bravely acknowledged that the shooting did actually happen.

He’s also not done with his brave battle to stay on the air, so he can continue to barf about globalists and gay frogs.

Jones is calling for a friendly party to buy Infowars’ parent company, so he can keep up his evil schtick, which only works on the dumbest people you went to high school with.

“It’s very cut and dry that the assets of Free Speech Systems, the website, the equipment, the shopping cart, all that, can be sold,” Jones said on a recent show. “And they know full well that there are a bunch of patriot buyers, and then the operation can ease on.”
