If you’re like us and couldn’t stop watching “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” on Netflix last summer and are counting down the minutes for Season 2 dates to drop, you’re in luck: Tiktok has got you covered.

Auditions haven’t started, but already DCC prep classes are in full swing ahead of auditions for the 2025-2026 NFL season. So what are prep classes? They’re not part of the official audition process, but they are taught by current choreographers and former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, according to the DCC website.

Videos have been popping up of women dancing to choreography at the DCC Studio at The Star in Frisco after prep season started in late February.

One woman, Savannah Arevalo, who according to her social media accounts is from California and was most recently an Allen Ice Angel for the minor professional ice hockey league in North Texas, appears to be auditioning again after not making the squad in 2024.

A young woman named Alyssa Rodriguez has been documenting her journey to audition for DCC, sharing videos of her jazz and pilates classes along with videos of her prep intensive weekend at The Star. According to her TikTok, she’s 21 years old, a bartender at Chilis and was in her high school dance team in 2021.

A current University of Georgia dancer was also among the dozens of women who participated in the DCC prep intensive. Amaya Crearer has a whole TikTok show named The Amaya Show, where she is also documenting her journey to auditioning. In addition to her recaps on the DCC prep classes, she also posts her gym workouts, tips for better kicks and even past trips to Dallas to learn choreography and improve her dance skills.

So what’s next in the process? According to the DCC website, there are three more prep classes scheduled for April before the online applications for DCC round one open on May 2. On May 16, the dancers will find out who moves onto round two of the audition process. The final auditions and the start of training camp is scheduled for June 14 in Frisco.

Netflix has still not announced when season two of their “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” will be released. So for now, if you need a moment to dissociate yourself from all the bad news, you can watch the potential future DCC cheer squad practicing their routines before the NFL season kicks off later this year.
